Get ready for new ISA rules

Here's what's set to change from 6 April 2027.

Cash ISA limits are changing

If you're an adult aged 18-64, you still have an overall £20,000 annual ISA allowance. However, you can only put £12,000 into a Cash ISA.

You can still invest £20,000

You'll still be able to invest £20,000 a year into a Stocks and Shares ISA.

No change if you're 65+

If you're 65 or over, your Cash ISA allowance stays at £20,000.

Information

Nothing changes for the 2026/27 tax year. So if you're an adult under 65, you might want to make the most of current ISA rules while you can.
