SignVideo is a safe and secure online service. It allows you to contact us in a fast and simple way using British Sign Language by signing to an interpreter who speaks to us. This is a free service and is available during our contact centre opening hours and in our branches.

How does it work

  1. Select the Connect now button
  2. Connect to a SignVideo interpreter and tell them who you are calling etc.
  3. The SignVideo interpreter may ask if you wish to prepare anything before the call. E.g. is there any person or department you wish to connect to?
  4. You will then be connected and start the conversation in BSL (British Sign Language)

This service is available Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 5.30pm, Saturday 9am - 12pm.

What you will need

Before using SignVideo, please ensure you meet these basic requirements as a minimum:

They can be plugged in or built in.

Good internet connection

For the best experience with SignVideo, we advise having a minimum 2Mbps upload and download internet speed. You internet connection can be any of the following:

  • 3G, 4G, 5G mobile network
  • Plug in Broadband / ethernet
  • WiFi
