25 May: Bank Holiday Closure

Due to the bank holiday we will be closed on Monday 25th May. Our telephone lines and webchat service will reopen from 8:30am on Tuesday 26th May.

21 May: Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020

We confirm we have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19
Five steps to safer working together:

- We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with those who work here
- We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
- We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
- We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
- Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk


11 May: COVID -19 Lifetime ISA government withdrawal charge

Following HM Treasury’s announcement on the 1st May that they intend to introduce a temporary reduction to the government withdrawal charge from 25% to 20% for withdrawals between 6 March 2020 and 5 April 2021, we are currently making changes to our systems and awaiting further detail from HMRC on how to process rebates for anyone affected by this decision.

24 April: Updated - changes to our branch opening hours

The opening hours of our branches are under constant review. Please therefore check our branch finder before you visit. We request that customers only visit for essential transactions - which include cash withdrawals/paying in cash or cheques for living expenses.

16 April: Branches open for essential transactions only

We remain open as per Government guidelines for essential transactions only, which are:

- Cash withdrawals for essential living expenses such as food, bills and rent
- paying in cash or cheques needed to cover food or living expenses.

We ask that you don’t come into branch at this time for non-essential transactions (such as updating your passbook and other general enquiries).
For non-urgent queries we have other ways to get in touch.

07 April - Contact centre closed over Easter Weekend

Due to the current situation it’s been a really busy time. So we can let our colleagues have a well-earned break, we have decided to close over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Our telephone lines will re-open from 8.30am on Tuesday 14th April. In the meantime you can find the answers to some of your most commonly asked questions on our FAQs page.

27 March : Changes to our branch opening hours

Most of our branches are still open, however we’ll be temporarily changing our opening times from today; these are 9.30am - 1.00pm Monday - Friday and 9.30am – 12.00 noon Saturday. 24 March: New opening hours for our Contact Centre

We have revised our opening hours for our Contact Centre for both web chat and phone queries. These are 8.30am - 6.00pm Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 5.30pm Friday and 9am- 12pm noon Saturday. Please only contact us if your query is urgent.

19 March: Base rate change
