Two of a kind

We’re excited to announce we’ve been named Which? Recommended Provider for both savings accounts and mortgages.

Which? carries out its own expert analysis on product ranges and customer satisfaction and also invites customer feedback before awarding Recommended Provider status.

It’s great to receive such good scores from customers because it shows our commitment to providing great service is making a difference. To be recognised for both our savings and mortgages makes us doubly proud. I’d like to say a huge thank you to all our colleagues and customers for helping us achieve this.

Skipton scores a hat trick

We’ve won three gold trophies at the UK Customer Experience Awards 2018 (CXA’18), which recognise ‘inspiring organisations who deliver an outstanding customer experience’.

Our winning entries were for ‘Best New Improved Product or Service’ for the launch of our Lifetime ISA, ‘Best Customers at the Heart of Everything’ for the introduction of our video appointment service, and ‘Best Financial Services - Banking and Investments’.

It’s always exciting to receive awards, but being recognised for customer experience makes me feel particularly proud. The variety of awards we received also demonstrates the extent of the work we’re doing across the Society as a whole. We’re really delighted with these achievements and we’ll aim to do our best for customers in all areas, however they choose to interact with us.

Our Bury branch won the ‘Customers at the heart of everything’ award for the team’s efforts in making the branch, region and the wider Bury community dementia friendly.

Skipton has become the only UK building society – and one of just two UK financial institutions – to achieve Investors in People Platinum, the highest level of Investors in People (IIP) accreditation.
