Back in 1853, Skipton Building Society was established by mill owner Samuel Farey and timber merchant George Kendall with the purpose of helping people into homes and to save for a better future.
Now, 165 years later, Skipton Building Society has over a million members and whilst times have changed our purpose hasn’t. We are still helping them towards their dreams of owning their own homes and saving for the future.
We aim to treat every single member like they're one in a million. To find out what Skipton Building Society means to our members and the difference we've made, you can hear some of their stories here.
First time buyers
Our Cash Lifetime ISA has helped young couple Tom and Hannah to buy their first home and they invited us round to tell us all about it.
Savings through the generations
Ms Wild has been a customer ever since her late father introduced her to Skipton Building Society and here she tells us exactly why she values the service we still give her today.
We'd like to thank all of our members for helping to make Skipton Building Society what it is today - find out more about the Society, our people and how we help the community around us. About us
