Come rain or shine would you spend your Saturday mornings coaching your local under 12s rugby team? Would you drag yourself out of bed on a Sunday to organise an event at your local youth club? Would you give up your weekend to help out at a centre for disabled children? Our research has shown that 35% of people do - volunteering in their local community.
Sadly, the time and effort they give to helping in the community often goes unrecognised and so we've launched the Skipton Building Society Kids Matter Award. The competition is aimed at giving local communities the chance to celebrate the fantastic work that is being carried out by volunteers working with kids in their area.
