You can apply for a mortgage in the following ways:
- You can obtain a Decision in Principle online now within 10 minutes, and then complete the process by phone or in branch
- over the phone
- or in your local branch
Online
Step 1 – Application for a Decision in Principle (DIP)
Obtain a quick lending decision with our DIP process that takes approximately 10 minutes. We will ask you for specific information following which we will provide you with a decision about the amount of loan we can offer you.
An application for a DIP involves the Society carrying out a credit check on you. You can use the lending decision to proceed to Step 2, where you can book an appointment with our Mortgage Team, following which a full application and Key Facts Illustration (KFI) will be issued to you. The DIP is not a cost quotation for a particular mortgage product, which will instead be provided to you in the form of the KFI later in the process.
You can get an online DIP if you are:
- a first time buyer/s (someone who has never owned a property)
- a new or existing customer(s) moving house
- re-mortgaging your home
Step 2 – Telephone appointment
One of our Mortgage Team will contact you to book a telephone appointment with a qualified mortgage and insurance adviser, who will advise which of our current mortgage products is most suitable for your needs and assist you in making a full mortgage application. Alternatively you can visit your local branch.
