Family Fun Day

On Saturday 2 July, our second annual Family Fun Day took place at our Head Office at The Bailey, in support of three deserving local charities. Some of the activities included Sumo wrestling, face painting and a tombola.

We had a great turnout and are pleased to announce that our team, their friends and families raised a fantastic total of £5,649.79!

This was distributed between Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice (Registered Charity Number 1052076), Cancer Support Yorkshire (Registered Charity Number 519429) and Down Syndrome Training and Support (Registered Charity Number 1130994).

Take a look at what some of our team had to say about the day.

Alison Davies, Head of Digital

“The army of volunteers really showed what we could achieve when we pull together as one team – the weather and a last minute change of venue could have spelt disaster but in true Skipton spirit, together we created a day to remember, and wow – raising such a fantastic amount is the icing on the cake!”

Sharon Torriero, HR Service Team Manager

“There was something for all of us and the burgers were delicious! Will definitely be going again next year.”

Matt Leach, Director of Financial Services

“I thought the Family Fun Day was a tremendous event that epitomised the Skipton spirit of endeavour and fun. It was great to see so many different people and their families enjoying themselves so much”

The total amount raised could not have been achieved without the hard work and dedication of volunteers, staff members and their families.
